FACILITY BUSTED IN AJMAN FOR PRODUCING COUNTERFEIT ANTISEPTICS30-03-2021
A warehouse and manufacturing facility have been busted in Ajman-UAE, where thousands of counterfeit antiseptic products of a well-known brand were seized and the illicit facility shut down by the authorities.
TLG IP Team carried out a successful raid action against thousands of packaged bottles ready for sale bearing labels of the original trademark along with hundreds of empty bottles ready for refilling, empty cartons, and two containers of raw materials.
The packaging and appearance are almost identical to those of genuine antiseptic products, and the liquid content of the bottles has a color that is seemingly close to that of genuine antiseptic products.
Since the beginning of the global pandemic, unscrupulous sellers are still cashing on the health crisis by trading counterfeit antiseptic products, sanitizers, and other disinfectant products.
Due to the use of Methanol as a solvent, using fake antiseptic products may be hazardous to customers, with the most common side effects being skin irritation such as redness and dermatitis.
